Madison, AL – September, 2026 – STI Electronics, Inc. is pleased to welcome engineering intern James Holt, a student in the Engineering Academy at Bob Jones High School, for the Fall 2026 semester.

Holt comes to STI with a developing foundation in engineering through coursework that includes Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Calculus, and AP Physics 1. His technical experience also includes Onshape CAD software, rapid-prototyping FDM 3D printing, circuit design and testing, and troubleshooting and repairing electric radio-controlled cars.

The Bob Jones High School Engineering Internship program is designed to give students meaningful exposure to industry while building their confidence, professional skills, and understanding of engineering careers. Prior to beginning their internships, participating students receive training in professionalism, workplace etiquette, communication, expectations, and employability skills.

During his internship with STI, Holt will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional engineering and manufacturing environment, connecting concepts learned in the classroom with real-world applications. The semester-long program also requires students to document their work and lessons learned through weekly status reports and participate in an on-site performance review with their teacher and internship mentor.

STI is pleased to support the Bob Jones High School Engineering Academy and provide students such as Holt with opportunities to explore engineering beyond the classroom and gain valuable exposure to the skills, processes, and collaboration involved in the industry.
