STI was selected for its exceptional support of the SMTA. This award is based on the multitude of ways that a company has contributed to the SMTA. Examples include: attending and participating in technical conferences and events, supporting chapter or national leaders, encouraging and supporting individual members, etc.

James is one of STI’s outside sales representatives. He has worked at STI in multiple capacities. James started out in the inside sales department, was promoted to warehouse manager and promoted again to outside sales manager covering AL, MS and TN.

David Raby, STI’s President & CEO, presented Mattie with a certificate commemorating her anniversary as well as $1,000.
 
Mattie joined STI initially as a Rework/Repair Specialist in STI’s manufacturing area and recently transitioned to the Quality Dept.
 

“Mattie is an integral part of STI’s Engineering Services division,” said David Raby. “She is a master rework/repair operator as well as a phenomenal quality inspector. Mattie is one of those employees that can accomplish practically any task set before her and we are glad that she calls STI her ‘work home’.”

Randy is the Buyer for the Engineering Services division at STI Electronics. In honor of this milestone, STI presented Randy with a check for $2500 and a gift certificate for a watch of his choice to be engraved on the back commemorating this milestone.

Randy has played a vital role in making STI successful. He has worn many hats at STI including packaging training kits, making microsections and ordering parts. Randy has helped the company earn its reputation for doing things right and taking care of its customers  Randy has always stepped up to take on any challenges that are presented.

Stacey oversees all aspects of the accounting office for STI Electronics. She is responsible for implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. Additionally, Stacey meets STI’s accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions.

AJ started out as an SMT line operator for STI and worked his way up to manufacturing manager. He has a tremendous knowledge of electronic manufacturing and works well with customers. Additionally, AJ manages the day-to-day operations of STI’s prototype/contract manufacturing facility.
 
Orames served in the U.S. Air Force for three years, and has since held various titles, including test and debug tech, and associate engineer. He holds an Associate of Science in Electronics and is certified to IPC-A-610 Revision C.
 
“STI strives to develop and promote from within when possible.  AJ is a prime example of an individual that through prior experience and experience gained within STI, successfully leads a state of the art manufacturing lab.  AJ is a tremendous asset to STI and we look forward to the next 10 years together,” said David Raby, President & CEO of STI Electronics.

As a professional avionics technician, instructor and leader transitioning from the U.S. Navy, Kim is a highly motivated, dedicated and proven leader. He brings 20 years of honorable military service and is an expert in all aspects of aviation maintenance and curriculum development.
 
Kim is an experienced supervisor and trainer, and has specialized in quality assurance for the Navy. He specializes in micro-miniature electronic repair and has taught courses on the subject for the Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit (2M). Kim is currently pursuing his FCC license for Elements one and three, and has received numerous distinctive military awards.
