STI Recognizes Julia Adamczyk’s 15-Year Anniversary

STI announces Julia Adamczyk’s 15-year anniversary. It wsd celebrated with a cake shared with all of her colleagues at STI.  In recognition of this significant milestone, David Raby, President/CEO, presented Adamczyk with a certificate in appreciation of her 15 years of dedicated service.

As the Customer Service Manager, Adamczyk is responsible for ensuring a pleasant experience for all customers who contact STI in regards to training resources. Adamczyk and her team assist customers with training course registration and training material purchases. In addition, they answer email, phone and website inquiries.

“When it comes to achieving customer satisfaction, Julia’s pleasant demeanor is the first thing the customer is exposed to,” said Diana Bradford, Vice President, Operations/Training Resources. “But it is her determination to meet all customer expectations that ensures repeat business.”

STI Recognizes James Nicholson’s 20-Year Anniversary

STI Electronics announces James Nicholson’s 20-year anniversary. Nicholson’s anniversary was celebrated with a cake shared with all of his colleagues at STI. In recognition of this significant milestone, David Raby, President/CEO, presented Nicholson with a reserved parking place of his choosing, a monetary bonus, a vacation leave bonus and a certificate in appreciation of his 20 years of dedicated service.

Over the past 20 years, Nicholson has been willing to move into a variety of different positions as needed by the company. He began his employment with STI in 1998 as a front office support clerk. Since that time, he has been placed in positions of greater responsibility culminating with his current position of costing/sales and as a program manager for the Engineering Services Division.

“James’ willingness to step outside his comfort zone and accept other positions within the company is a testament to his work ethic,” said David Raby, President/CEO. “I’m looking forward to being able to talk about that same work ethic at his 30-year anniversary.”

STI Announces Ann Duncan’s Retirement

With over 20 years of dedicated service to STI Electronics, Duncan was one of the first employees hired after STI’s move from California to Alabama. After a couple of years of working part-time, Duncan has now officially retired.

With over 20 years of dedicated service to STI Electronics, Duncan was one of the first employees hired after STI’s move from California to Alabama.  After a couple of years of working part-time, Duncan has now officially retired.

Duncan’s first position at STI was as an instructor for the Training Services Department.  She later moved into the Training Coordinator position where she ensured that the required documents and training materials were on hand for the various classes that were scheduled on-site or off-site at the customer facility.

“Ann’s long history with our Training Services Department provided her with knowledge and experience that can’t be learned from a book” said Pat Scott, Director of Training Services.  “We’ll miss not being able to ask her questions, but we know she’ll have a busy and enjoyable retirement.”

Martin Garcia Joins STI’s Houston Facility

STI is pleased to announce the hiring of Martin Garcia as Technical Instructor. As a Technical Instructor, Garcia will be teaching various IPC certification classes and other electronics manufacturing classes at the STI Houston Training Center

As a Technical Instructor, Garcia will be teaching various IPC certification classes and other electronics manufacturing classes at the STI Houston Training Center as well as at customer facilities.

Garcia has over 25 years of experience with training and quality control with much of that focused on the oil and gas sector.  Garcia is also experienced and highly proficient with high and low temperature soldering processes.

“Martin’s extensive background in the oil and gas sector is a perfect fit for our Houston training location.” said Pat Scott, Director of Training Services. “Martin’s experience along with being fluent in Spanish allows STI to offer more options to meet the needs of our customers.”

Baumgarden is responsible for procurement for the manufacturing operations of the Engineering Services Division.

“Randy’s loyalty and willingness to take on different tasks has been demonstrated many times over the last 30 years,” said David Raby, President/CEO. “Randy is the only employee (without the Raby name) to have achieved this significant milestone and we are honored to recognize this fact.”

Patsy Saint Brings 20 Years of Experience to STI

STI is pleased to announce the hiring of Patsy Saint as Technical Instructor

STI is pleased to announce the hiring of Patsy Saint as Technical Instructor.  As a Technical Instructor, Saint will be responsible for teaching various IPC certification classes and other electronics manufacturing classes.

Saint has an extensive background in the electronics manufacturing industry primarily focused on quality engineering.  Saint has also been IPC certified for years and has been performing both soldering and inspection training.

“Patsy’s experience in the quality disciplines provides her with a practical background that will be a great benefit to STI’s students,” said Pat Scott, Director of Training Services. “The addition of Patsy to the Training department will allow us to continue to grow and meet customer demands.”

STI Electronics announces Stacey Sipes’ 15-year anniversary. Sipes’ anniversary was celebrated with all of her colleagues at STI.  David Raby, President/CEO, presented her with a certificate in appreciation of her 15 years of dedicated service.

As the Accounting Manager for STI, Sipes is responsible for overseeing all accounting staff as well the day to day accounting operations.  “Stacey’s consistent guidance of STI’s Accounting Department for the past 15 years has provided us with benefits that cannot be measured in dollars and cents,” said Diana Bradford, Vice President of Operations/Training Resources. “Stacey’s attention to detail and dedication to STI and the overall tasks, are greatly appreciated.

STI announces its domain change to www.stiusa.com  This domain change will help STI remain easily at hand for its customer base.

With a recent website redesign with more emphasis on ecommerce combining with an easier to remember website, the results should be a greatly improved customer experience.

“Changing our domain name was a big decision that required quite a bit of effort,” said David Raby, President/CEO. “Unfortunately, our old domain name was long and difficult for our customers.  With this change, I’m sure I’ll be seeing a lot of positive feedback from customers and employees alike.”

STI Electronics announces A.J. Orames’ 15-year anniversary. Orames’ anniversary was celebrated with a cake shared with all of his colleagues at STI. David Raby, President/CEO, presented him with a certificate in appreciation of his 15 years of dedicated service.

As the Manufacturing Engineer for the Engineering Services division, Orames is responsible for the set-up, maintenance and proper operation of the automated assembly processes. Orames is also a key member of the Product Assurance Triad, a pro-active team tasked with improving customer satisfaction.

“A.J.s intuitive abilities to understand equipment operations has been invaluable to STI,” said David Raby, President/CEO. “Whether it’s something as simple as an automatically closing cabinet door or something as complex as a sophisticated pick and place machine, A.J. will keep it in good working order.”

AS9100 is an aerospace standard based on the ISO 9001 quality system requirements. The standard takes the requirements of ISO 9001 and supplements them with additional quality system requirements, which are established by the aerospace industry in order to satisfy DOD, NASA and FAA quality requirements. The intent of the standard is to establish a single quality management system for use within the aerospace industry
